Carrageenan
Carrageenan is a natural seaweed hydrocolloid, used as food for centuries. Today it is greatly admired for its healthy properties.
Carrageenan is a polysaccharide extracted from red algae that grows in clean seawater areas and works as the most suitable jelly agent in various food systems. It is used as a suspending and emulsifying stabilizer, swelling agent, fat replacer, binder, dietary fiber, crystallization inhibitor and gelling agent.
